Data Delivery Services A Top Priority of Many Businesses

In 2011, the United States was host to a breathtaking 535 reported instances of breaches of data from major companies, resulting in the loss of nearly 30 million customer service records. Since then, unfortunately, the U.S. hasn’t fared any better; if anything, it has done much worse. During the past year, major American companies such as Target, Home Depot, and J.P. Morgan were the targets of major hacking operations, resulting in the loss of millions of customer service data and other information. And that’s not even mentioning the imbroglio Sony Pictures faced during its release of The Interview. In fact, hacking has become so audacious that the United States Central Command, one of the largest fighting forces in the world, had its YouTube and Twitter accounts commandeered by a group claiming to be part of the Islamic State (or ISIS)!

It is for these reasons why setting up safe, proper data delivery services for businesses is one of the most important tasks a business owner has. Data delivery methods and data loss prevention solutions are two key components of any business’s IT setup. Managed file transfer services come in a wide variety of options, protocols, and programs. They can be quite challenging to establish and maintain. However, the risks associated with not setting up safe data delivery services are too much to bear for any company.

One such file transfer service that is quite popular is FTP. File Transfer Protocol, or FTP, is one of the most common ways of transferring data between computers. In a FTP system, data from various computers (known as “clients” or “hosts”) are transferred to and from one another via a server. It is considered to be one of the most fundamental functions of the Internet, and few computers do not use FTP or similar services.

No matter what service is used, however, the point is this: setting up safe data delivery services is a must for any business that truly does not want to run the risk of exposing its private data as well as the data of its costumers.
